It's been awhile since I last had supper that I could blog about. So finally yesterday managed to try something new again. This time Terence and I went to Eunos to find Yong Hua Delights. Its located near the Eunos MRT at a coffee shop at Block 7.

At first I thought this stall only sold fish ball and minced meat noodles but it turns out they have different kinds of porridge too. Shall try it out next time I'm there. They also put up all their past achievements and awards they've won.

I ordered a bowl of dry mee pok (flat egg noodles) with extra chilli and vinegar while Terence opted for the soup mee kia (skinny egg noodles). The noodles arrived pretty quick and I was surprised that for $3 you get 5 fish balls and 2 meat balls. Normally stalls give you less ingredients. They don't have fish cakes though.

Noodles were not bad, had bite to it and it was quite spicy since I asked for extra chilli. Overall taste was decent, can be improved though. Not sure about Terence's soup noodles though, reckon it should be ok.

The highlight though, were the fish balls and meat balls. While we were ordering our food we could see the man making the meat balls. Looking at these balls you can tell that they were hand made. They not so round like those machine made ones. The taste and texture was also very nice. The meat balls had bits of spring onions inside, and you could taste the hint of pepper with every bite. They weren't exactly very meaty because I think there is some fish paste inside, but they were unique and nice. Both types of balls were tasty and springy, so there was a nice bite to it.

Overall these were above average noodles, partly because of the great balls served. Can come back again when I have the fish ball noodle craving. Especially good because its open 24 hours and there is a carpark conveniently located behind the coffee shop.
