On weekends the whole stretch of shops are usually damn crowded. Weekdays though the place is only half full. Anyway, lately I have this thing for nasi goreng ikan bilis. I ate this particular nasi goreng ikan bilis a while back and have been looking for a stall which replicates the same taste. So no guesses then, that I ordered nasi goreng ikan bilis. Terence went for the maggi goreng. One thing I also like when I visit malay stalls is their teh cino or teh cino peng (localized version of latte?), I always drink it when I get the chance.
The verdict.... This nasi goreng didn't meet up to my standard. Some how it lacks something though I can't really put a finger to it. Rice was just salty, and not much ingredients either.
I never knew what all the hype about maggi goreng was. Always thought that if you want to eat maggi mee just eat it at home, but I guess it's different though. Took a taste of Terence's maggi goreng, tasted like stir fried instant noodles using the seasoning from the packet. So I still don't see whats all the hype about.Ultimately was kinda disappointed yesterday. Didn't really have a good meal, I think the shop opposite the road serves better food. Maybe I was just unlucky yesterday? People normally tell me that they serve good food, better than the shop opposite. Hmmm I don't know, maybe will review it again some time. The only highlight for me was the teh cino which was good.
